The ceramic coating will protect the paint and make it shine. The ceramic coating will last up to five years, depending on use and exposure.
Silicon dioxide is what Ceramic Coating is, chemically. It coats the paint with a "shield" and helps it to last longer, shine brighter and withstand the weather much better than regular paint. It protects your investment.
The base price of a ceramic coating is approximately 10% of the cost of a full paint job.
A ceramic coating helps the paint last longer, shine longer, and have a deeper color. It helps the original paint last much longer and protects the finish.
We hand apply these products to prepare your vehicle or airplane for the cermic coating. We prepare the paint for a ceramic finish.
How long will my ceramic coating last? Traditionally, people clean, correct, and polish their own vehicles, and the final protective treatment is wax. That works, but only for about three months. The ceramic coating will last up to five years, depending on how well the preservation is done and which ceramic coating is used.
We have a very detailed process for adding a ceramic coating to an airplane or vehicle. Most of the process involves correcting the paint and prepping the current paint job for the coating.
Here is our four-step process:
Step one: is cleaning the airplane with a no-rinse cleaning method. That means, I do not use a water hose pressure sprayer etc. I only use microfiber towels and spray cleaners that are safe to the aircraft.
Step two: is correcting the paint. Each case is different in that, some airplanes are highly oxidized, paint runs, have bad stains, etc. These have to be corrected by buffing and polishing.
Step three: Once the correction is done, Then we polish out any swirls, holograms, light scratches and make the surface luster and shine. We do a final polish while treating the paint with a ceramic coat primer.
Step four: The fourth step is to hand-apply the ceramic coating. This application is the final step.
The ceramic coating will last up to five years, depending on use and exposure.
Special Note to Aircraft Owners: Because Brandan is a thirty-year A & P Mechanic, he pays close attention to critical parts such as antennas, pitot masts, AOA vanes, and static ports. A logbook entry of the ceramic coating will complete his work on the aircraft.
